I was born and raised in Rome, Italy- a country rich in healthy, delicious, simple dishes; all vibrantly- coloured and affording us all the sensation of having been sun-kissed with every bite. All of which makes falling in love with food an inevitability, and such was the case for me. Cooking is wonderfully creative and expressive, and my passion was born from the true essence that transcends the Italian culture surrounding food- one of uniting families, friends and strangers alike; whether in times of great hardship or great joy.
This is the ethos that I have transmitted throughout my many years of cooking in the private hospitality industry- where I worked as a cook on private sailing yachts, in private chalets, on private estates and in villas. I have now established myself as a travelling private cook, splitting my time between Cumbria, UK and Umbria, Italy, however I travel to wherever my clients' need me- whether that be within the UK or mainland Europe.
I am blessed to be bilingual English and Italian, which has made learning other European languages a great deal easier. I also speak fluent French and conversational Spanish.
I believe that food should not only be delicious and visually appealing but also well-balanced, ethically sourced, nourishing and healthful.
I source my ingredients from local farmers and use organic produce whenever possible. I take the dietary restrictions and preferences of my clients and their guests very seriously.
